NSCET currently manages a Veda Padashala (Veda patashala), Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Veda Mandalam, offering courses in Sanskrit, Rig Veda, Sama Veda and Yajur Veda. This is a residential school, offering free boarding and dormitory accommodation to all students.
Formal classes have started from May 27, 2009 onwards. The main purpose of the SJS Veda Mandalam is to preserve and teach the value of Vedas to the present and coming generation. The Padashala will conduct classes in all four branches of the Vedas, and aims to be one of the best vedic educations centers in the world.
The Veda Mandalam contains residential dormitory accommodation for upto 30 students, separate residence for the Teachers, Common Kitchen, Dining facilities and Study facilities. NSCET takes care of all expenses relating to the Guru Dakshina, Daily Annadanam for Students, Books and Study Material, Dress and Medical Needs of all Students.
Apart from teaching the Vedas, the Veda Mandalam will engage in numerous activities to spread the message of the Vedas in the modern world. The center will also have constant co-ordination with like-minded organizations in India. The center will also conduct seminars, festivals and symposiums regularly on various aspects of Indian Culture and Vedic knowledge for the general public.
