Phase 2 of the project is currently in the proposal stage. As per the latest plan, Phase 2 will add another 83 km on top of the 72 km of lines being built in Phase 1. The Red & Green lines will be extended while one new line will be constructed:
New Line:
#4 – Purple line – Tarnaka – ECIL (7 km)
As per some news reports, a section of this line might be built underground.
Note: Official line color is yet to be announced.

#1 – Green line – LB Nagar – Hayathnagar (7 km)
#1 – Green line – Miyapur – BHEL – Patancheru (13 km)
#2 – Red line – Nagole – LB Nagar – Falaknuma – Shamshabad Airport (28 km)
#2 – Red line – Raidurg – Gachibowli – Shamshabad Airport (28 km)
