Ashraya is a registered, non-governmental organization which has been serving the community of underprivileged children and women in Karnataka for the past thirty three years. While Ashraya has achieved many milestones over the years, below we offer a snapshot of our longest running programs.
With sincere and committed staff, the Neelbagh School continues to provide a motivating and stimulating environment for the students, who are happy and flourish in the school. Ashraya was the first organization to start the Mobile Crèche Programme in South India in 1983. Since inception, the Community Crèches have benefited more than 5000 children who receive pre- school education, medical and nutrition support, guidance and motivation to continue their education in regular schools. The Crèche and School projects have shown remarkable progress, both in the number of beneficiaries they have reached, and in the continuing support they have received from our donors.
KENSRI is the brainchild of Mr. Srish Kumar who worked for The World Bank as its Senior Operational Economist. KENSRI's curriculum is designed and structured to develop an attitude and spirit of excellence. It is an independent, co-educational school from pre-kindergarten through XII grade, PUC and Degree Programme. The medium of instruction is English.
